I received an eviction notice on my door at 8pm, after returning home from work, on November 25th. The court date is set for Dec.1st. This gave me no time to request off from work. The only 2 business days are Friday and Monday. They sent me a 5 day notice certified mail, but the part I am supposed to sign is already removed. This has happened before. I have received this before the same way. My question is what to do about my court date when I am already scheduled to work on the 1st. Is it legal to allow 2 business days before receiving eviction papers and court date?

I was involved in a very minor collision resulting in minimal vehicle damage & no bodily harm. Accident occurred on a private parking lot which cops would not respond to so there is no reports or documentation of either parties accounts an recollection leading up to accident. Insurance information was exchanged and both parties drove away upon learning no police report would be taken. Months following were an unstable time for me and incident slipped my mind. Until this week even I received a collection letter which to the best of my knowledge is a subrogation notice. With my brief research on this, it's my understanding that I've been deemed at fault. And the insurer of other party has issued a payment covering their damage. Which they are now seeking reimbursement through me. Can I dispute or appeal an how is this done? I firmly believe that the fault is that of the other driver or at least not solely of my own, based on design and layout of parkway's as well as location of impact and damage indicated on both vehicles.

Hello I recently moved in my apartment on 8/15 at that time my air conditioning was not working blows out warm air. I notified the office they sent a technician over the same day. I told him my air doesn't work he TOLD me it does and changed the air filter. Which it did not. I contacted the leasing office again around 8/31. They called me left a message to speak with maintenance. I called back TWICE never got a response. My air did not get fixed until 9/16! And my electric is now shut off because I cannot pay a 850 dollar bill. Should the leasing office accommodate me for these times?
