My Mother lived in and owned property in Sun City, AZ for about 30 yrs. She had two living children whom have had a rather toxic relationship. She had a living trust and her son is named Successor Trustee. In 2003 she suffered a small stroke and (while still mentally alert) she had a problem with her speaking ability. As a result, she retired as Trustee and named her son who divides his time between New Mexico and Alaska. Her son physically relocated her to New Mexico about 10 months before she passed in Feb. 2011. He had sold her property in AZ in Sept 2010 but moved all her personal belongings to his property in NM prior to that date. Her remains are interred in AZ. Which state would have jurisdiction if a probate proceeding is necessary? (i.e.- Say the Successor Trustee fails to act?)

I am a teacher who took FMLA leave for surgery. My principal said that I am not allowed on campus to attend a meeting concerning my schedule. Is this true? He also said that if I request a meeting, they cannot meet with me because of the FMLA guidelines. Is that true? It all sounds fishy. Why wouldn't my staff be allowed to answer my emails under FMLA?

So, my landlord and I discussed my closing out my current lease at the end of it, but agreed to resigning it with a new roommate. He agreed we have until May 1 to get all of our paperwork submitted to him, but when sent to him before May 1, he said someone else was in the process of signing a lease. Is this allowed since Im the current resident and we had already discussed resigning a lease after it ends at the end of June 2017?

Per my lease agreement I sent notice to my landlord that I wanted to renew the lease a month prior to lease ending via email 6/28/19, the same day he sent me notice of rent increase which was received on 6/29/19. He recently replied that we are on a month to month, our lease does not end until July 31st at 5pm. He took over two weeks to respond to email, I am unable to give him 30days notice as he took too long to respond, I recently emailed back accepting he rental amount if a lease is written. What right do I have? Last year when he raised the rent he back dated the 30 day notice.
