  • My husband and I have been remting a room from a friend for 3 months now upon verbal rental agreement of $10 daily and we have never missed payment but also never got receipts. Now our friend wants us out to move another couple in because they are willing to pay more.what could we do bout at least getting a 30 day notice?

I am now leaving the property and have given proper 30 day notice. The landlord is stating that the security deposit has to be made out to both myself and my ex because we were both on the original lease. My lease expired and I have been on a month to month basis for the last 2 years. Can the security deposit be issued in my name only if requested in writing on the Notice for Return of Security Deposit?
