QUESTIONS

  • I have just gotten a divorce and my exhusband is ordered to pay back money he took from our savings account when we seperated. He says that he does not have the money and will have to make payments. He was awarded our personal property which is paid off. Can I put a lien on this title? He says he is building a home is there any other way of ensuring that I will get my money returned?
  • My ex wont tell me where he works or what he makes how much he makes, how do I get this information?
  • I rent a single-family dwelling & my lease states that the landlord is responsible for all Landscaping in the front & back of the house. Does this mean that she is responsible for the payment of the water for the sprinkler drip system? Currently the only water meter is on my water account that I pay for. Is it legal for her to dictate how much water is used for the bushes and trees outside the house? She does not allow me to adjust the sprinkler system at all & she has her gardener increase the water for her orange tree without my knowledge or consent. Again, the water meter is under my name
  • My home 8s foreclosed and sold back ti the mirgager. Iwhen the papers were served to me, the company from which i was paying on a water softener system and still paying ons name were on the papers, too. What does that mean?

  • A month and a half ago there was a water leak in my apartment causing floor damage to most of the apartment. While our landlord did repair the leak, the floor was never repaired and I am afraid of health problems from mold growing under the floorboards. After asking multiple times the only thing the landlord has said is she will take care of it sometime in the future because she is busy with her personal life. What can I do in this situation and is this breaching the lease for failure to repair?
  • I moved into a student housing complex where I was matched with 3 roommates. I filled out a questionnaire to match me with roommates where I noted no pets. Upon moving in I discovered my roommates had 2 cats, I have never had an allergy to cats. Within 5 days of moving in I had to go to urgent care where I was diagnosed with Allergies. Now I have to take medication daily to keep the headaches under control. I notified my leasing office and they are not willing to do anything about it. Is there anything I can do? There is nothing in the lease agreement about that.
  • If I believe my tenants have skipped and they are not claiming certifiied mail which is sent to them at the property address, may we enter the property after posting to the front of the residence the 48Hr Notice to Enter and Inspect? This notice was mailed first class and Certified mail return receipt along with being posted . This action was outlined in the tenants Residental Lease Agreement for us to have the right to inspect after giving notice. Are we safe to enter?
