Some states websites, such as MA, state that the home office expense taken on a tax return may be a countable self-employment expense for SNAP (Nutrition assistance) benefits. I cannot find anything about this on the DEA/FAA website, AZ Admin. Code, FAA Policy Manual, etc. Does anyone know? If so, and if countable, can you point me to a code section or rule number I can cite to get DES to permit this expense to be counted?

We gave a roommate 30-day verbal notice that his month-to-month lease was up. If he doesn't leave could his drinking binges (including driving on a suspended license, with no insurance), and belligerent, vaguely threatening but scary behavior be enough to get an immediate eviction started? He will go into the kitchen falling down drunk when everyone else is asleep, and I'm afraid he could start a fire, by accident or on purpose. Or would we have to give him written notice and start from square one? Thanks!

My brother has had his ex-wife stay with him for about 3 weeks, she was never on the lease of the apartment, pays no rent, has no mail going to the apartment, nor does she have any utility bills. She is becoming increasingly abusive and was only supposed to be temporary. Will he need to evict her or can he just have her removed for trespassing? My brother is the only one on the lease.

My townhouse has water damage from a pipe leak. Landlord sent maintenance guy to fix pipe. 6 days later sent a mold specialist to check for moisture but not mold. Sent maintenance guy back to take out dry wall and pull up carpet. Did not secure room where water damage was to ensure that if there is mold in the wall it was contained did not remove all of the wet areas that the mold specialist recommended. What are my rights? How can I legally make sure that they handle this health and safety issue properly because they are clearly cutting corners and not using certified specialists.

I have 2 children that were born out of wedlock but paternity was established and I am their biological father. The mother of my children placed an order of protection on me but she recently dropped it. Prior to the order of protection we had a mutual custody agreement but it wasn't court ordered. Now that the order o protection is dropped she doesn't want to go back to our original agreement. She won't let me take my children without supervision or let them sleep over. With all this being said does she have the legal right to do this? What are my legal rights for visitation with my kids?
