  • I was a stay-at-home mom for the majority of my marriage. During that time I accrued some student loans. In our separation agreement we each agreed to pay half of that, and any other, debt. A lawyer I spoke with stated that I am eligible for alimony (we were married 9 years and I stayed home for 6 of them), but my spouse takes great exception to this. He believes that since I did not contribute, monetarily, I should not be entitled to alimony. What should my expectations be?
  • I just rented a new apartment and there has roaches infested in the unit. I notified the manager via text and he already spray the unit but there are still lots of live roaches roaming around the unit after 10 days. Especially at night that they are crawling all over my bed. Can I terminate the lease agreement without holding my rent.   • I have been married for almost 11 years with 5 children ages 7 and under. I have been a stay at home mother for almost 8 years, have been attending school full time at home for the past 3 years and have plans to continue until I've reached my doctorate, which will take approx another 5 years. I found out my husband is being unfaithful and I want a separation but he won't agree to one, so I'd like a divorce. Is there a way I can get him to leave our home we own while I'm dealing with finding an attorney and filing? He won't be happy/nice if he knows. He won't let me let me leave with the kids.
  • Are landlords responsible for termites/ swarmers in apartment complex!? Lease states they cover “pest control but excluding “wood eating insects” and they are not responsible for any damage to my property because of them... !? That cant be legal. Its like living outside with all these flying termites.
