My mother is a 100 percent disabled veteran in her 60s who tried to help a lady temporarily. For over two years this lady has lived off my mother rent free, scammed her into cosigning for a car, and has mentally and physically abused my mom. This lady's daughter is a lawyer in training aka going to school to be a lawyer and has my mom terrified to do anything to get rid of this woman. I do not know the legal steps to begin to fix my mom's life with her being held fiscally hostage as well as these other forms of abuse. Who might I seek for advice or advocacy for this?

I have been living in my apartment for 9 years. The first year, I signed a one year lease and paidnfirat and last months rent and a security deposit of $200. What are my rights when it comes to my security deposit, being a technically month to month renter? Also our landlord is selling the complex... what are my rights in that regard to the security deposit as well? Is a landlord still allowed to charge you full amount of rent if needing to leave the home for more than 1/2 month to fix mold found in walls? I’ve heard that they can however they are responsible for providing you a place to live in while the repairs are being made is that true? Or can a tenant use some of the rent money to provide housing while property is being fixed if landlord refuses to pay for housing. Please help!!

My daughter is now 6 months old, her father and I broke up while I was a month pregnant, he didn't want to be involved until I was 8 months pregnant. He saw her the day after she was born so I put him on her birth certificate but I haven't seen or heard from him since. Can I take him to court to terminate his parental rights?

I now live in Arizona I had full guardianship of my grandson in Michigan, We moved here with his mother,she now has moved out, been her for 8 months, how do I go about getting legal guardianship here, The mother is a drug addict ,supposedly not using,but do believe she does,without it showing, she wants guardianship back. Father lives in Ohio ,he hasn't had contact in two years,.
