My daughter has a son with her ex-boyfriend. From the beginning the babys father wanted nothing to do with the baby. He wanted my daughter to abort. Now that the baby is 9 months old he always threatens my daugher that he will take her to court for custody. He does not give her money or buys anything for the baby. He always says that since wanted to have the baby she should deal with it herself. He has three other kids with his former wife. My daughter did put him on the baby's birth certificate. He feels forced into taking care of him. What can she do ?

I want to Petition the court for Grandparent's visitation. The only closely related forms I can find all relate to cases that are already being and have been litigated to some degree or another. The kids' parents were never married and there has been no legal steps taken by either party for formal custody, support, etc. Do I need to just write my own petition and start from square one? As far as I can tell the Superior Court is the proper venue...I would hate to petition the wrong court! Thank you for your help.

I was convicted of a non dangerous sex offense back in 1984. Was a level 1 till I got convicted of failure to register in 2001. That changed my level 2. I dont understand, since the original crime was non dangerous and the second felony was a technical crime, that now I am dangerous. Is there any hope for any of the non-dangerous sex offenders getting off the registery? This would open time and money to monitor the actual dangerous sex offenders.

I am currently involved in a custody case that requires I take a parenting class. I was involved in a seperate custody case(the child was not with my soon to be ex) a year ago and took the class. Do I need to retake the parenting class for this case or will the class I took last year work?

I have been raising my grandsons for almost seven years and two weeks ago their mom took them out of my home and I'm now having very limited time to see them. I am lucky to get to see them one day a week She's not been there for financial assistance or anything else I have supported both boys since the older one turned six months old. He is seven and my other grandson is five. Do I have any rights to either joint custody or visiting rights at all?

My 17 year old son has received a subpeona to testify as a witness against his friend charged with aggravated assault. My son does not wish to testify. What are his rights and what are the possible consequences if he chooses not to testify? We plan to show up in court but he plans to refuse to answer any questions.

My son is 5 years old. I have sole custody. I read the self service paperwork and it says I have to notify the other parent or show "order terminating parental rights of the other parent." Is my divorce decree showing sole custody good enough? I know sole custody gives me the right to make decisions for my children even if my ex does not agree.
