  • I was curious as to what the law is regarding not being under any signed lease for renting a house. The landlord is causing issues and I'd like to vacate without notice. Thank you,
  • Hello we have a tenant that rents a place on are property for 475.00 month her it includes her utilities cable and internet air heat garbage water sewer. She moved her boyfriend and his dog in about the same time. She works he is here 24 7. For 3 months he has been here causing problems within the neighborhood I can no longer use my back yard for my dogs as my little dog well start a fight because he thinks his dog has taken over his yard. I have reached the end of being taken advantage of. She gave notice of 18 days I accepted can I boot him like I should have?
  • If the water heater in the condo unit I rent has been faulty & running 24/7 causing the electric bill to be MUCH greater than it *should* be (once it was finally checked out & dealt with the hourly charges dropped by 80-90%) how should I proceed re:bills? $200-$300 for 900sqft 2bd1bth before but *now* once fixed it's ~$80. I began asking the owner in late June/July to have someone check this out as it was not accurate (he insisted the electric be in his name--leaving me unable to speak to/arrange anything without going through him), but he dragged his feet for months until now here we are.
  • As a former tenant. I did not have a final walk through with former landlord. He repeated said I didnt have to be present. I met with him after he sent me an itemized repair list. When I showed up to property. To my knowledge all of the repairs he itemized where repaired. He did most of the work. I never had a final walk through nor sign of on the damages he is charging me for. Nor was I allowed to fix the problem myself. He simply took it upon himself to fix the problems before I had an opportunity to fix myself. Did he violate my rights?
  • I was running late to trial and sent an email along with a call to judges chambers. An automated email provided a number to contact as they were out of the office. So I called there was no answer so I left a message. I was going theu security around 940 am. And hit the court room floor about 943, 944am, court was scheduled for 930am. As I was approching I seen the opposing party walking out , the bailiff locking the door behind them. Extremely rude, as the first time we met, she replied, to questions I asked, "get a lawyer, you will get some thing in the mail. I can file an appeal right?
  • Our lease was up in May of 2018. We did not resign a lease. We are month to month. We were emailed a letter stating that we had to be out on oct 31 and they are not stating a reason. Is this ok?

The house is in one county and the rental management in another. They are charging us for one palm and two small plants to be replaced. Nothing else died.
