QUESTIONS

  • As an unmarried mother with physical custody and no court orders- do I have to allow the father visitation?
  • I have informed my landlord of 2 leaks in the vent that connects my A/C unit to the house over a month ago. How long do they have to complete these repairs? Electric bills have been about $300 on a low income for 835 sq. ft. single story unit.
  • My niece used her grandfather's SSN and DOB and baby's SSN and DOB to obtain loans from a payday loan place online. She did not repay the loans and they went to collections. The collection agency called her grandfather to collect. In order for the debt to be deleted from her grandfather, he had to file a police report. What is the possibility of my niece being charged with identity theft and or fraud? What would the possible sentence be?
  • I am the father of an 8 year old daughter born out of wedlock. No legal paternity has ever been established, but I've maintained a close relationship with my daughter all along as well as paid child support from day one. I would like to begin the process of obtaining legal joint (if possible) custody of my daughter ahead of fears my ex may try to relocate again (already moved from to CO to AZ). I believe I will need to establish legal paternity which is no problem as I am on the birth certificate and my ex will agree, as well as establishing permenant visitation rights and also the ability to bar her from moving again. Is there a step by step process available online to set this into motion? I am unable to afford an attorney, but might be able to afford a paralegal? Please advise.
  • My 4yo daughters biological “father” hasn’t seen nor spoken to her in just shy of 6months which was just a call on her birthday and hadn’t spoken to her several months before that. He hasn’t paid child support for almost a year and a half. And he has only physically seen her 4 times in her entire life 3 of which I brought her to him in a different state. Mind you I was with her the entire time they were never alone nor has he ever cared for her by herself. My husband and I met when she was 7 months old and we want him to adopt her bio dad said no of course. So I want to know whaticandolegally
  • I have had my grand daughter since september 2015 and now her mom is wanting her back in June, how do I go about getting guardianship of my grand daughter, my daughter does not live in this state and at the moment she is living with friends, she also has 4 other kids who are constantly being taken out of school and moved around at the moment none of the kids are in school, I really don't want to send her back, she is autistic with other disabilities and is doing good here although we have our moments and she is in counseling, I don't even know if I even have a chance to gain guardianship.
  • i'm a 16 year old who recently moved to phoenix. my parents have been going through an ongoing horrible court case. my mother suffers from 9 mental illnesses and constantly emotionally abuses me and my 8 year old brother. as a result of the court case which started in nevada, we stay with our mother on the 1st, 2nd and 4th weekends of every month but it is absolutely unbearable. i was wondering if when i turn 18 i could adopt my brother even though our mother will never sign the papers. my brother is also adopted from birth.
