QUESTIONS

  • My son is supposed to receive money when he is 18 from my brothers passing. Is there a way I can make it that he doesn't get it till he turns 25 and has a high school diploma due to him not being mature and dropping out of school and just relying on this money?
  • There was a pipe leaking by my parking spot for the last couple months. My water/sewer/trash Bill almost doubled for the last couple months. We pay w/s/t with our rent when it is due but we get a separate w/s/t bill and it shows that for almost 2 years my w/s/t was roughly the same until last month. The complex gets one bill and divides it by common area the apts pay the rest is divided to the residents. I believe the complex wasn't paying for their leaking pipe they were dividing it amongst the apt units. Can they legally do that?
  • My landlord sent me a check, for what I believed was compensation for my a/c being out for 3+ weeks with temperatures in the home exceeding 100 degrees. I contacted them to ask how the amount was calculated. They then responded that it was noted in my account that a check was sent to us, and would get more information. A few days later they stated that the check was sent in error, and to return the check. What is my legal obligation?
  • What are my rights as a tenant to sell mobile home
  • My downstairs rental had water damage caused by the upstairs empty rental where the water was not turned off. Parts of the ceiling and walls had to be removed and a restoration team had to dry the wall. Being a home worker and this a very small place, I found a temporary rental. This happened mid-month, I was out for 2 weeks and now I am being asked to pay full rent on the first under the reason that I choose to be out. I have not been answered on when the place will be made whole again and if it would be of consideration to adjust for the days I was not living there. No answer was given,
  • My roommate moved her stuff out while I was at work. I want to get her off the lease but she refuses to sign the paper. How do I remove her without going to court?
  • How do I change my children's last name to their biological father's last name?
