I wish to terminate his lease by giving him a 30-day letter at the first of the month stating ....In accordance with your lease and applicable sections of Arizona Rental Law, this is your notification that your lease will terminate on 1 ___, 2015....."   • It is time to renew my lease and a Bed Bug Addendum was added. It has harsh provisions for tenent payment of treatment expenses, even being responsible for adjacent units, even if you did not cause the infestation. The AZ law states you can be charged only if you fail to report. Is this Addendum legal. If I refuse to sign it can I legally be denyed the right to renew my lease? If I do sign it to renew the lease, will it hold up in court? Can you point me toward a lawyer in the Phoenix area who has experience with this? Thank you!
  • I am a Registered Nurse and have worked continuously as a RN in the Phoenix area for 37 years. This year a requirement for proof of citizenship is required. I have my Certified birth Certificate but it is not acceptable by the State Board of Nursing because my first and middle names are reversed from what the Arizona State Board of Nursing have on file. The only documentation I received to verify the change was my social security card. I am a Medicare Benificiary and I receive Social Security Benefits. I have been researching the accepted lists for proof of citizenship and find that Arizona states if you have been accepted into the Medicare program no other proof of citizenship is required. I have been a Medicare Benificiary since I was 65, a total of 6 years. However, the Arizona State Board of Nursing lists do not include enrollment in Medicare as proof of Citizenship. What can I do to prove I am a United States Citizen?
  • I am new to Arizona so I am not aware, but I move here in August listed in my lease it says my rent in $874.00 the amount for taxes is not listed however I am charged taxes. Also my lease says if I am late on my rent after the 2nd there is a late fee of $50 and thereafter it will be $10. After the 5th day I received a 5 day notice on my door in which they charged me $25 for putting a 5 day notice on my door and they taxed the $25. That amount is not in my lease. Is this legal? shouldn't both the tax amt and the 5 day notice fee be listed in my lease?
