QUESTIONS

  • Hi. I'm asking this question on behalf of my mother. We live in Toronto Canada and I believe she was defrauded by a company in Tempe Arizona. My question is; Do I need to have power of attorney for my mother in order to listen to the recorded conversation between my mother and the original telemarketer? They claim I do. Thank you Allan
  • How on earth can a property manager charge me $11,640 after eviction due to non payment of 45 days? Home was re rented in less than 30 days and only took 4 hours to get ready to rent( I know this because of next door neighbors)!
  • My landlord has told me that he is going into foreclosure soon. He has began to remove things from the home because he 'owns' it and wants to take it before the bank takes the home. Items include: storage shed, backyard patio ceiling, steel bars from the windows. Is this legal? Should their be a change in rent due to the cosmetic change of the house?
  • My daughter's father has abandoned her for the last 6 years. Can I file for termination of parental rights and how do I do so.
  • Our 16 year old son became aggressive after a shopping outing and began beating up my wife taking her to the ground. We are wondering what legal options we have since the answer we are getting from all agencies is that we just have to deal with it and work it out ourselves. We are looking for help of any kind including juvenile detention or detainment in a health facility. I am afraid to leave the house if our son is there and afraid of what he might do in the middle of the night since he has uttered death threats.
  • Hello, I got my name changed in Tucson years ago, but can't find the document proof! I've moved away from the area to another state. Is there a way I can get the proof of a name change paper mailed to me?
  • My boyfriend and I are leasing a new house. We had paid a pro-rated amount of rent for the end of June. The swamp cooler in the house had a broken pump and a handyman repaired the cooler on July 2nd. Seeing as how the house was uninhabitable during that time, we would like to get our pro-rated rent money back. What are our rights in this situation and what is the responsibility of the landlord?
  • What does it mean if my parenting time is suspended? What are my rights? And what do I do to get my rights back
  • I own a property, not my main residence, that was part of a 2010 C7 bankruptcy. We reaffirmed and kept the property. We have made all of the payments since, but in the past year our finances have declined. We have tried to rent the property without much success and we have paid over $6000 above the properties income to maintain it. It is empty again and we simply cannot continue to pay the mortgage and HOA any more. It is worth about what I owe. Can I allow the property to go to foreclosure or short sale after being part of a bankruptcy?
  • I am renting a home for past year and half with wife, daughter and her 5 year old son. We have all had various levels of sickness, mainly severe coughing. We brought this to the attention of the management company with full details. They sent out a person to "visually" inspect for surface mold, in one room. This person left indicating the issue was from a single cat. We obtained our own air quality company and paid for results ourselves, the results came back with several mold types in home and "Black Mold" was one of them. Management company not responding to addressing problem. Help???
