My parents are on social security income only and we are evaluating whether to put my Dad in a nursing home. He would most likely be eligible for ALTCS. My parents own their home and it is the only asset left to support my mother. I heard that a nursing home can take half the house value if the house is sold within 3 years of my father entering a facility. Can the home be put into a trust for my mother or sold to a family member before my father enters a nursing home to avoid this?

I am buying a mobile home from the trailer park there was supposed to be repairs done before we moved in that weren't done and also any rain damage that we noticed after a rain, repairs have not been done and they keep telling us next week we signed contract 7/27 and mad our last down payment on 9/1 didn't get to move in until 9/26. We are on a multi- family well. There are 3 families ... one individual has a pipe leaking. This has been going on for over a week now...we come home from work he has turned off the water... Now the leak is so bad all the water is on his property and none in well reservoir.. My husband and I had to miss work today because there is no water to clean up in... we need this man to fix his pipe... this is unhealthy for the rest of us... now it is costing me money... loss if work and I have to call a plumber because there is air in the lines.. so who do I contact to make this man repair this pipe.

I let a friend of mine live in my house rent free for about 7 months after she had a baby. I babysat and cared for the child while she worked and never charged her any money for childcare. After 7 months, she moved out but left most of her personal belongings in my house. It has now been 8 months since she left. How long does the law state that she has to come back and claim her belongings before her property is considered abandoned. And then do I legally take ownership of her property? I have also loaned her money which she has not paid back yet. Please advise. Thank you.

I am being evicted under section 33-1368a unauthorized guest.a friend of mine came by to say hi and to get a cold drink. As my friend was arriving my landlord and my friend had words with each other one calling the other a racist for commenting on baggy clothes. I was served with a written 13-3368a notice and was told he couldn't come back. About 3weeks later my friend showed up again I told him he wasn't allowed on the property gave him some water and he left. The next day I was served with a second 33-1368a notice with 10 days to vacate the property. Is this legal and what should I do?

I don't know if you can help us or maybe direct us to someone who can. KayKay Properties took over as managers of our apartment building. This is not an assisted living facility, but regular low income senior apartments. I am one of the original tenant and the other original tenants and we have gone through several managers. But this company has come in and is trying to dictate to us, change rules that make so sense and threaten with evictions. We have been told that none of our grandchildren under the age of 18 can spend the night with us anymore, if they do, we will be evicted. If someone is on medical marijuana they can't smoke it in their apartment, they have to leave the building and smoke in the parking lot. If they smoke in the building they will be evicted. We can't go to check out mail in our robes, if we do we will be evicted. They will spray for roaches, but we have to count the number of dead ones, and if they have to spray again we have to pay for it. If we don't pay for the exterminator, we will be evicted. If any of us are ill and need family or friends to help us, we have to let management know who they are, where they work and how much they make, if not...you guessed it, we will be evicted. Are there any laws pertaining to renting a Single Family Residence, this is not a new construction, to multiple tenants (one per bedroom) without a Certificate of Occupancy, please advise. Thank you.
