I would like to know if I'm still eligible for cash assistance for my son (I'm not his birth mother)under the kinship program. I was told by a friend I could receive cash, but I know nothing about this. Because at my last appointment I was told I could no longer receive cash assistance for him .I'm up for recertification for medical, foodstamps and cash, if I can still receive it for him.

When we got married, we both hyphenated our last names to form one. Now, we are frustrated with having the hyphenated name and would like to switch--my husband back to just his last name and myself to having my last name as my second middle name and his as my last. How do we go about this?

I have been divorced from my wife since 1996 and have Joint custody of our only child. She was named as primary residence and I was ordered to pay child support. My mother passed away in 2012, she will the family home to my 2 sisters and I. 1 sister signed off on estate not wanting any of it. My oldest sister moved her son and girlfriend into mothers house. My mother has a mortgage on home and I think my sister is wrong for keeping account open under my mothers name. She tells me to not worry about it. What can I do about it. I want to sell the home. Any help would be appreciated.
