I moved into my apartment 20 days ago and on the day of move in 2/8/20 I had my walk through with the landlord. That day I raised many concerns but my main concern was the horrific smell of smoke in the back bedroom and bathroom. The smell is so horrible as if the tenant before just sat in closed in the room and smoked. The landlord stated on the day of move in that the apt just needed to be aired out. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, I am asthmatic and have had to use my inhaler and nebulizer EVERYDAY since moving in. Is my landlord responsible for removing the smoke smell from the apart?

I am a foreign national married to a US citizen and am currently preparing my immigration package to become a permanent resident. For the affidavit of support I got a bank statement showing payments from my main source of income, but it contains a disclaimer from the bank stating that they do not guarantee its correctness. I am worried it might affect whether it is accepted as evidence. Could this disclaimer become a problem in the immigration process?

I live in Phoenix & filed our divorce in AZ. My husband is going on medical disability & lives in CA. He is turning his pension into the disability. We have been married 19 years and the judge that I saw at my first hearing wants me to check the pension amount so I receive my correct amount. I have a request for $850.00 in spousal support but I would like to lower it to $450.00 because he is going on disability. I completed the decree with a paralegal. Can I change the decree myself to lower the amount of spousal support before my next default hearing?
