QUESTIONS

  • Our son who was 41 committed suicide. he did not leave a will. I need to have power of attorney so I can deal with his estate. Do we have to file something with the probate court? If so how do I go about that?
  • My apartment owners are known for being cheep, with this they have neglected to maintain the sewage system thus backing it up. It has happened a few times. This time it flooded my apartment with other peoples urine. The carpets have not been replaced in 5+ years. Their solution is for us to clean it up ourselves. The only thing they did was entered the apartment unannounced to use without leaving any information they had been in there to vacuum. Its still wet. What laws is this violating and can we as tenants make them replace the carpets and reimburse us for ruined clothes in the bathroom?
  • I was very ill last year and let my Aunt and grandmother take my children to Idaho. While my children were there they filed a motion of abuse with the state of Idaho and I may possibly lose my girls. I have been serve with quite a bit of paperwork from the courts and don't knowhow to fill it out. I only make $7 an hour and don't have the money to get an attorney. I don't want to lose my girls and need some help to answer these letters from the courts of Idaho.
  • Can child support arrears garnish social security disability?
  • My daughter and her son have lived with me and my husband since my grandson was born. the father of the baby left when he was 3 months old and moved back to his home state of KY. He did sign the birth certificate and my daughter is going for child support through the state, but the father does not call, visit or show any interest in my grandson. My question is, what would happen if my daughter became ill or passed away- by law does my grandson have to move to KY to live with a biological father he has never known or is there something I can do now for reassurance this baby won't be taken.
  • Can both the parents be named custodial parent?
  • Is online poker legal in AZ? I believe nobody has been prosecuted for it, but in some states they have made it illegal. Does AZ law directly address online poker, and if so, where does it stand?
  • Can landlord charge early lease termination fee after I've been evicted? I had 1 month left on my lease before eviction, rent is cheaper than the early termination fee & apartment was rented about 3 weeks after I moved out.
  • how much would it cost to get divorce papers?
  • I had a baby in October 2016, the father and I both signed acknowledgment of paternitynand the birth certificate. We are not, nor have we ever, been married. I have my daughter full time, and we aren't doing anything about custody or in the court system. The only times he's seen his daughter is when I pick him up for visits that we've scheduled.. I recently received a job offer in another state, along with acceptance to a school for nursing. I have family there as well. My question is this- am I able to move with my child out of state? Would it be considered parental kidnapping?
