QUESTIONS

  • As a FMLA covered employee are you required follow the call-in policy of the employer while using FMLA?
  • Is there a 3 day release from jail if not charged rule? But if the jail lists charges on the inmate, doesn't that mean that they have been charged? And if the preliminary hearing is scheduled, doesn't that mean that they have been charged, but not necessarily indicted? On major methamphetamine trafficking charges, isn't it unlikely someone would get out on the above-mentioned 3 day "rule"? Without a bond? Just turned loose?
  • My wife and I recently rented an apartment and let our 17 year old daughter live there. Our intention to have her as the inhabitant was expressed to the property manager and her name was included onthe rental agreement. Are we within our rights to let our 17 year old daughter inhabit the apartment that we, her parents, rented?
  • I lived in apartment for 2yrs. Carpet was new. Contract was up 11/30/18 and completed the walk-through on 11/28. At the walk-through we were told that everything was fine except a stain on the countertop which we were told that we would probably have to pay for. Two weeks later I get a letter that I have to pay to replace the carpet because it's worn more than the 36 month life limit. I have pictures of the carpet and it is not worn nor dirty.
  • I applied for unemployment on March 29th and was approved. I have been receiving unemployment but I have not spent any as I am sure my previous employer will dispute the unemployment claim. How long does an employer have to dispute an umemployment claim? I do not feel safe touching the monies I've been given yet.

He is on the birth certificate but isnt helping me with any child expenses and doesnt even want to see her. He said it was okay for me to take her before but he got mad one day and said i couldnt. Their is no papers set down in court either.

He moved out of state when my son was 3 months old and has only seen him a few times. My fiance is in the army and we will be relocating to texas when he gets home from his deployement. Is there a law that can stop my ex from letting me leave the state with my son, even though he doesnt even live here?
  • How do I prove “child abandonment” from my child’s father in order for me to get sole custody. He put himself on child support but still doesn’t see our child. He goes weeks/months without seeing or asking for him, our child is barely 1 1/2.
