  • I came home yesterday afternoon and my landlord had broken into my home and was inside and had several people inside I didn't know and they were going through my things and throwing my belongings outside, I have not been evicted. things were missing and some were destroyed what can I do
  • I live in a apt complex and i am a section 8 tenant that pays zero rent and is required to pay only utilities.. therefore the apt complex charges the tenants a monthly water bill that is not included in the rent amt... is the mgr. here at apt complex allowed to charge a tentant late fees the same as in rental late fees .. for being late on paying t them for water bill ?? This is a new Mgr.. and previous Mgr. never charged me for being just one month late .. I dont even pay rent and he charged me over 800.00 for bill and fees Thanks to my son he came and saved me from being homeless.
  • When I was terminated by my employer, i was given the option to voluntarily resign and get a good reference from them, or to be fired with no reference. In retrospect i believe that this was an attempt to preclude my being able to claim unemployment. Is it legal for an employer to present these as the only two options for an employee?
  • My landlord entered the property thorough a window and began to move my things out because I failed to pay rent. Without my consent he took a house key while he was inside the property and used it to re-gain access while i was at work. He Showed up to my work ordering me to leave work and move my stuff out, endless phone calls at all hours to my 13 yr old sons phone and so on. On 8/16 I came home to find a 5 day notice dated 8/15 taped to the front door, today I received a copy via cert mail. Do the 5 days begin when the notice was taped to my door or today when received the cert mail?

  • My ex-husband sends the child support payments to me personally and I'd like to have him send through the Clearinghouse... what do I need to do to make this change? He has been paying every month, and the decree does not specify pymt via Clearinghouse. He won't do it voluntarily, so I will need to modify/ the decree. Please note that my ex owns his own business and is therefore self employed. Thanks.

  • Started a year lease (8/2019) In my current apartment. The first 4 months we’ve been having constant plumbing issues where the shower has over flowed with sewage back 3-4 times a single month. In the result of damaging/ruining personal items. All of the rugs destroyed by sewage flooding out of bathroom into hallway and entering bedroom.
