I am a 21 year old college student sharing a condo with my landlords daughter. I gave my landlord notice that I would be moving out the 2nd week of May and she was ok with it. She has been taking the rent in the middle of the month every month except when we initially moved in we paid on the 1st. I am just paying my rent for April, today the 11th. But she told me if I stay in the condo past the 1st, I have to pay, because rent is from the 1st to the 1st. She stated she took it out in the middle because the utility bill doesn't come till the middle of the month. So she included them together.

My ex wife & I have shared custody of our 2 boys 9 & 11. I have been off work for over a year due to seizures, psoriatic arthritis and back problems & depression. I'm presently waiting to see if I can get on disability. My ex brings the boys to me on weeks I have them. I can not drive due to seizures. She recently sent me a nasty text telling me if I only knew what's coming and she'll take boys from me. What are my rights? She was diagnosed with bi-polar disease and I worry about my boys. I want the best for them but can she take them away from me? . I love them so much. Thank you

I made a huge mistake by cosigning on a car loan for a girlfriend back on 09/15/08. She only made 9 payments on the vehicle then let it go back to the bank. It’s been almost 6-1/2 years since she made her last payment and now they’re coming after me, after all these years have gone by. I was told that Arizona Statute of Limitations A.R.S. § 47-2725 is four (4) years for auto loans. But their attorney is ignoring that and coming after me regardless. It's now October 2015 and they are coming after me for the loan amount + interest totaling $13,000 altogether. I'm retired and living solely on Social Security of $1,776 per month and two small pensions totaling $624 which = $2,400 per month. And I'm living with my daughter to make ends meet. Therefore I can't afford to pay theses people. I had an initial pre-trial conference on 10/8/15 and represented myself because I can’t afford an attorney. It was determined that there will be a trial on 12/14/15. I told the loan company in court “that I have no money and living on $2,400 per month and living with my daughter to make ends meet, and they’re still pursuing the trial date. My questions are: 1) Will the Arizona Statute of Limitations A.R.S. § 47-2725 four (4) years get me out of this mess completely? 2) I've been told and read online that Social Security income and Pensions “cannot be garnished”. Do you know if this is true? If it's true then I have nothing to worry about and won't need to file bankruptcy. 3) If I lose my case can I file bankruptcy on a judgement that's been awarded against me? 4) Can they levy / garnish my checking account where my Social Security checks and Pension checks are electronically deposited? We are having a baby and want to know as the father if I can use my sick leave? I know I have 40hrs sick family but only 40hrs a year but have more personal sick leave that i would like to use.

Air conditioning has been out for 3 days- rental company will only pay us $30 a day to get a hotel. Understand they have up to 5 days to fix it, and then we can break our lease, which we do not want to do. However, we can't live in this environment. Home Owner waiting on home warranty company who is not cooperating. Don't know what to do.. Inside of home is 98 degrees & we have a small child (3 yrs), making it unsafe. We try to talk with rental company, they just get angry. What remedies do we have to get this repaired fast?

My children (14 & 17) just started overnights with their father. After a 9 month period where he didn't visit them at all. He has a live in girlfriend and 1 year old child with her. He is now in the habit of leaving my kids to babysit the 1 year old and go out with his girlfriend during his visitation. He and his girlfriend go out drinking. They have a domestic violence history (but more than 2 years ago) involving alcohol both times. Can I prevent this in any way? Isn't visitation supposed to be for my kids to spend time with their father, not babysitting his new kid until midnight/later?

Section 33-1319 , part D states that single family homes are excluded from provisitons of this section (bed bug provisions). I own one condo which has an adjoining wall to another condo I do not own. Does this condo count as single family, since I have no control over the other unit?
