I'm renting a guest house and the landlady lives in the front house. I don't have my own utility meters, and she is harassing me about running my cooler. She is demanding I turn it off completely when I'm not here. I'm not allowed to run the pump to keep the pads wet. Even if I'm just going out for a short time. Do I have any legal standing?

Recently in my apartment the refrigerator went out andwas repaired by a repair man the manager sent over and the repairman stated that for me to write out a list of food that was lost and take to the office.this was done and I also sign the paper stating that this in fact did happen.the manager stated that under normal situation the landlord is not responsible for the food that was lost,but because the repairman stated that he would make sure I would get paid for food lost.I would have to take this up with my insurance (Renter's insurance) about $75-100 worth of groceries.The manager has offered to deduct $75 dollars off of rent for the following month,and i agreed to this. The question is am I to be responsible for food that was lost ,when the appliance came with the apartment?this is not the first time this has happen to me.should I contact my insurance company regarding this issue?

I am working with a gentleman who is receiving Social Security Disability (SSD) payments. The SSD is his only income. He has almost half the of SSD check garnished for child support. Is there any way he can have this amount reduced? Who could he go to for assistance with this?

What is my rights? I work for a major company and while I had a temp manager they stole two of my major accounts without my knowledge and transferred them to other reps on other teams and I lost out on 1,000,000 in sales. The company has policy in protecting reps from going into accounts that does not belong to them or assigned to them. Behind my back they stole my accounts and next thing I know they closed about a 1,000,000 in business that was rightfully mine. Do I have legal rights? Our company rules of conduct / ethics and policy stAtes that no other reps are allowed to go into other assigned accounts nor other territory that is assigned to other sales reps. This all happened during the time I did not have a current manager in place because my manager left the company and the company was looking for new manager to fill that position. As I stated I had a temp manager who was not my manager. Please advise

I have customers at work that have past due invoices that I try to collect on. Usually a certified letter works because they sign that they received the letter. But now I have someone that did not get the demand letter, so what is the next step that I attempt to collect with out hiring an agency? Not sure of the laws and I have tried to look them up but they are very confusing. Is there a giude that can give me the proceedures and laws on how to collect?

I am currently pregnant and not exactly sure who the father is. I met my boyfriend a few months after conception. He is aware of the situation and would like to adopt. I am leaving the father blank on the birth certificate. Can he adopt without notifying any prospects? Being that they have known I have been pregnant and wanted nothing to do it?
