QUESTIONS

  • My husband is homeless and does not really have an address. I mailed the acceptance of service plus the divorce papers to him at his last known addressvia certified mail. If I get the papers back unclaimed or undelivered can I file this along with asking for a default or do I have to go by publication? I cannot afford all these fees. I did get a deferral for the court fees but did not check for publication fees. Publication sounds like it is a hard and delaying process. I hear some saying I can file if I get the certified green card back as proof of service or even if the papers come back unclaimed. We have three kids and I am asking for sole custody.
  • Moved into renovated home was to be done by 6/18 (day moved in). Upon arrival; 2 baseball size holes in 2 windows & piles of trash under carport. Due to incorrect measurements windows would be another week. Week1 dryer vent had to be re-cut, electrician rewired house due to fire hazard. Week2 plumbing unable to do laundry 2weeks now, family has to share 1 bathroom, windows not replaced. Week3 windows replaced 7/1–7/6, plumbing on hold to find better price (laundry?), & still sharing bathroom. Was given 1 months free rent but asking us to pay full electricity bill. What are her obligations?
  • After signing a lease back in March 2014 for 13 months for a certain price, the company now is saying that they made a 2% tax mistake and making every resident pay the extra from now on...it just seems to me once the lease is signed they couldn't raise the rent....so can an apt complex do that?
  • Do I need a sole custody order for my son if he lives with me, I take care of him, his "sperm donor" has never really been there, has verbally acknowledged that he's his but wants a Dna test for peace of mind (I don't want a dna test cuz it's against my religious beliefs), he has no father listed on the birth certificate, do I still need an order? Can he take my son away from me even tho he can't take care of him?

  • I'm a landlord, I was given $500 security deposit. I even allowed them to unload their moving truck 2 days prior to signing the lease. The night we were due to sign the lease they backed out. Do I need to give their deposit back? They used my home as a storage facility and now my home has an overwhelming cigarette smoke due to their belongings!
  • I received a summons for an old old credit card debt. If I answer it in justice court (small claims) I guess there are no appeals. How do I request Superior Court?
  • I got married in Arizona, but we moved to another country. If we want to divorce, do we have to come back to Arizona ?
  • Disabled people living in a rented mobile home but now landlord wants us to paint the porch and power wash the mobile home
