  • What are the qualifications for Section 8 housing?
  • I had a verbal agreement with my landlord that i could take over payments and own the house i was renting from him. He changed his mind and now tells me i have to leave today. I am a elderly vet who lives on his disability checks. what right do i have? I have a witness to the verbal agreement.
  • my son was given a two day notice (Feb. 10th 2020 Friday at 6 p.m. weekends closed) that he needed to leave his apartment (1 month after moving in and paying his first months rent) in order for the property management company to perform emergency repairs. the landlord of this unit nor my son were not given any documentation nor information in regards to what repairs. they were both unaware of any repairs needed. His belongings are still in his apartment as well. he has attempted several times to get updates and was told it would be 2 weeks, four weeks ago. He is still displaced
  • My home was forclosed on 2yrs ago after my real estate agent tried for 2 long years to short sale it.  Mortgager #1 denied all offers for the first 1.5yrs, while 2nd mortgager was agreeable.  Final offer was finally accepted by Mortgager #1 but 2nd mortgager completely blocked the sale by rejecting offer.  Now 2nd mortgager still sends me mortgage bills and calls me daily to try to collect this debt!  They also report my payment as LATE EVERY MONTH! Is there any way to get them to leave me be?  Do they have the legal right to harass me even though they are the reason I went through this foreclosure?
  • My refrigerator has stopped working since Jan 27,2018 (Sat) I have made reports to the agent who is in control of the unit. She has informed me that they will have to buy a new fridge but has not given me any specific time line for when this fridge is to be bought n delivered. I spoke with her on the issue yesterday voicing my concerns and she hang up on me. I have withhold my months rent which was due yesterday, and sent her a 10 days repairs form to which she has not responded. I have been buying daily food items to eat and have lost over $250 currently on items that was refrigerated.
  • I am living in my boyfriend's mothers condo and was supposed to be the only one living here but I let a friend of ours move in on the grounds he would pay 100 a week and pay for cable internet and phone. He's been here about a month and up until this last Friday had been paying rent on time. Last night we got into an altercation and he got physical with me so I am getting a restraining order against him. If we don't have any written agreement and I get this order against him how long does he have to move out?
  • i live in an senior apt complex. My neighbor died next door to me it was the end of the month the apt manager when the kids came to move the furniture out was given paperwork stating they now owed next month rent and charges which totaled 1200 the rent was 565.00. The manager presented it in a hostile manner. The kids didnt have the money to bury their parent let alone pay this bill and the reason for the bill in the first place? Because a proper 30 day notice wasnt given. How the hell are you suppose to give a notice when you have dropped dead literally. Is that legal?

What are the benefits/drawbacks to my current husband becoming a legal guardian? Would my ex be released from obligation to pay child support like he would be if my current husband adopted my son?
