I and my daughter have not seen my husband in 5 years. She is 6. He was abusive but never arrested because he was good at abusing without leaving marks and lying. He has taken steps to hide his whereabouts and stated that if he had to pay child support he would take custody. I have been with my current fiancé for about 3 years and he would like to adopt her. Can he do that before the divorce?

According to my lease all light fixtures inside my apartment and in common areas will be repaired by the leasing agency. Currently, there are no lights at near the stairwell, my apartment is at the top of, to provide safe lighting. I keep getting the "we need to order fixtures" as the reason that it is taking so long to repair this item. What course of action can I take to either fix the lights or be released from my lease?

I want to contest a parking ticket that I received in Prescott. The ticket is written to show I was issued this ticket after 10 minutes between marking and issuing in a 2 hour zone. I live in Phoenix and the cost to drive to court to have this ticket thrown out will be greater than the ticket. My ex-husband lives in Prescott, can he go to court to represent me in this matter?

I owe a credit union in Michigan $25,000 for Visa and $175,000 for second mortgage. They wrote the balances off 12/30/2010. I continued to make payments on the mortgage thru May-2012. I have not received any communications from the credit union since then. In June 2013 I received a letter from a collection agency that states that I owe $200,000 on the 2nd mortgage and $32,000 on the visa. What are my rights? What am I obligated to pay? Does Arizona have a law that creditors are not allowed to solicit more than what they paid for a debt? Your help would be greatly appreciated. SB
