I received a loan check from a company I previously had a loan with at one time. The check had only my name and I was the only one to sign it. Now, due to being laid off, a judgement has been entered and they will begin garnishing my wages. However, they also included my now ex-husband in the judgement and are going to garnish his wages. How can they do this if the loan was in my name only?

My father passed and my sister had a beneficiary deed that made the home hers. I've lived there for 7 years and provided care for my father during that time. She is now trying to evict me and my father's only been gone for two weeks. She's entering the house and removing property and even drilled out the lock to my bedroom door. She's installed cameras to watch the house from outside. What are my rights?

Can a landlord evict because they not animal control or law enforcement deemed your dogs aggressive? There have been no noise or aggressive/ vicious dog complaints filed with animal control but now suddenly we were told get rid of the dogs or be evicted. And the property manager has lied about complaints from the other tenants and about one of my dogs getting out and chasing her boy friend on a day I was home all day with my dogs so I know for a fact none of them got out of my yard and she never mentioned it to my husband who works for her or me. Along with other lies

Our landlord refuses to fix our swamp cooler and the resulting problems. The swamp cooler leaks water, which has damaged the roof so that it leaks in our bedroom & closet for the last 3 years. This year it blew a fuse, so the landlord is using OUR extention cord for power. Now, whenever the cooler is turned on, the faucets and metal parts of our toilet/sink are electrified. We would like to file the 10 day repair notice but can't afford to move out. Can we file for damages while still living in the apt? Are we allowed to stay until the case is over?

my son died 10/22 he's never married and had no children. What form do I need to fill out to assume/satisfy his auto loan. The value is 22,998.00 with 17,200.00 still owing on the finance contract. He owned nothing else of any value. Will a notarized affidavit for collection of all personal property suffice and if so do I need to provide it to the court as well as the finance company? Thank you
