How long is a landlord's notice of intent to enter good for? My landlord routinely gives notice of intent to enter by saying that they will be starting inspections on a certain date for the entire apartment complex, but it may take weeks for them to enter any given apartment. Is this legal behavior, or must they be more specific? It's getting annoying not knowing whether or not they came, or thinking they already have and then someone barges in weeks later.

I have supervised visitation with my children until my oldest daughters therapist says I can have unsupervised. Well my children's father has not been taking them to therapy and won't let me talk to them on the phone and refuses to work with me is that legal?

I was adopted at the age of 13 from Russia. My adopted American parents were abusive. At the age of 18 I left home. I have been homeless living with friends as I finished my high school diploma. I have not been able to pay anyone for living at their home. I have started community college full time, two of my classes are not college accredited as I was educationally deprive and have to catch up to take Eng. 101 and college math. I spend more time studying than the average student as English is my second language. I work 8 hours a week at a clothing store. I just started caring for a 90 year old lady, more than 20 hours per week, in exchange for a place to study & sleep. DES says I need to work 20 hours a week to get food stamps. Would my caring of the 90 year old count as working even though I do not get paid?

We are on a month to month lease with 60 notice to vacate. We are actually vacating after 30 days, leaving the house empty (but open to potential new tenants) for the remainder of the terms. Who is responsible for the utilities during that time? I don't want someone to leave a light on and be charged for it after we have turned the property back over the the management company.

I have had a friend that lost his home in 2007 and i allowed him to move in with me as long as he does repairs the mobile home and pays rent and utilities! He started out great fixing things around the house, but now is on disability and collects food stamps and eats all day and smokes pot, he has gotten fat and lazy and has brought a pitbull into the house that has bit a couple people and myself with my permission to have in the house and hasnt paid any pet fees and has become a bully and argues with me about heating and cooling the house He has no lease and want him out!
