QUESTIONS

  • So one of my good friends is a felon for drug charges. He is currently on probation. My issue is I give him rides to help him get on his feet. I have also allowed him to stay at my house when things get bad with his family. Does him being in my car or house allow the police to search it without probable cause? I am sometimes in Scottsdale or phoenix too. Do the laws change there? I believe I should be entitled to basic constitutional rights, but does being with a felon remove my rights?
  • Hi, I was married for a year which ended in a annulment, but in the mean time my husband borrowed money from me, I need to know how can get it back, what kind of lawyer I look for, please help.

  • I want to file a petition to get my criminal record expunged. How do I go about that?
  • The Landlord/Property Management Co. has with held $858.33 of our security deposit. They say we are responsible for the Re-Rent and Commissions associated with finding a new tenant. My husband lost his job, we continued to pay rent (even though we were not living in the house) so we didn't break lease. They were able to locate a new renter after two months and returned a portion of our Security Deposit, but say we are responsible for these fees. They would have had these fees in June when our lease was up. Is it legal for them to use our deposit for expense associated with the new tenant?
  • I work as a contract RN on an Air Force base, for a company who is located out of Arizona. I am unsure how many employees work in a 75 mile radius from the Air Force Base. The company is telling me they do not and will not honor FMLA because of this. My job will not create a hardship on the company because all of the contract employees do different jobs here at the base. Am I entitled to know how many company employees are in the 75 mile radius? There are 117 contract employees at the AF base but work for various companies. Thank you
  • My husband and I own our house and let my brother stay with us after he lost his place to live a few months ago. He does not pay rent or any bills. He drinks and gets verbally aggressive/abusive and we want him out. We have 6 kids of our own we dont want him around anymore. He has been getting mail at our house now. No lease or written agreement was ever made. I thought he'd be out by now. He says we cant throw him out. If he has no lease and we own the home, why cant we throw him out?
  • My apartment has recently been bought out by new management. They have renovated the community entirely as well as apartments when people move out, they have requested me to vacate when my lease is up, or stay on for double my rent. Question, if they are gutting my apt entirely, how should I leave the unit when I leave to ensure I get my deposit? I’m obviously going to clean, but, how thorough do I need to be? Everything is being replaced, from doors, flooring, appliances, countertops, cabinets.. etc.
  • My severely disabled (non verbal, non ambulatory) 20 year old son’s health status has declined to the point that his mom and I have agreed not to take any extraordinary intervention. He is being followed at home by Hospice of the Valley. We are being challenged by the treating hospitals to produce a medical POA to recovery his medical records. Given his current medical status the possibility of him surviving more than a couple of weeks are doubtful. Is there an easy and inexpensive way to get guardianship of him and should we?
  • What can I do about my social security card and Id being stolen out of my vehicle
