  • Can I request "in-home" assistance thru AHCCCS? We are in need of assistance for someone with mild Alheimer's as reminders for taking medicine and for personal health & safety a few hours a day. Is this possible thru AHCCCS?

  • On August 13, 2017 I awoke to find my Apt flooded due to a toilet line leak. It was under water for approx 6 hours. The Manager arranged for draining/cleaning but did not replace the floor (vinyl) or carpet. Just "dried" it. Claims no mold but odor lingers. My question is, it was unlovable for 5 days and no refrigerator for past 7+ days. Requested rent adjustment, but was told "it was your own risk.....can't predict when a flood occurs". Can they refuse to adjust the rent? Will I lose my deposit?
  • I rented a home for almost 8 years. We were never offered any carpet cleaning or paint the entire time we were there. The landlord about a year ago said they would give us paint but only with a new year lease. I heard that they are required to offer carpet cleaning and paint every 2-3 years. They are trying to charge us now that we've moved for carpet cleaning and new paint. Are they able to do that when we got nothing the whole time?
  • Is a landlord required to provide a washing machine if it is not specified in the rental agreement? If the rental agreement specifies that the tenant is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all appliances provided in the home, is the landlord obligated to use a home warranty fund for such repairs?
  • I slipped and fell into someone when shopping at a store, at the time the person I fell into made a big deal out of it, the police were called I explained to them what happened and I was not cited now 2 months later the state picks it up and I have to go to court, can they do this and can I sue the store for slipping and falling into this person?
  • A girl was staying with me for 2 months and I never drafted a lease, she threatened the domain of my home as far as personal property is concerned and was completely insubordinate whether it be cleanliness, punctuality so on and so forth. In the end I kicked her out. What legal right if any is in her favor? To my understanding she was never a legal tenant so I would think almost next to none.
