  • I discovered AT&T has fraudulently been charging me a "dial-up" fee for my email account. The amount has been between $12.95 and $21.95 every month, and I've had broadband since 2005. I read an article about a lady in New Jersey who had the same problem and she successfully sued AT&T. I'd like to take them to small claims court, but I don't know who to send the claim to. Do I send it to the corporate office? Doesn't someone have to be named? How do I serve them notice?
  • My 16 year old son was taken to the emergency room for taking pills and scratching his arm. There is no disputing that he needs inpatient care to help with his depression. The hospital has been very helpful, but are telling us that he may be transfered to a facility that we are not comfortable sending him to. What rights do we have when it comes to making sure that he goes to a facility we have investigated and approve of? We do not want him to go to a place that has terrible staff and facility reviews, and are looking out for his best interest.
  • I started Beauty School in Sept 07, I was 17 at the time.The school had me sign for the loan without a co-signer. My parents filled out the paper for the Pell Grant and wanted to pay so much monthly. The school said I had to have a Subsidized Stafford loan to get the Pell Grant.Am I responsible for the loan? Since I was told afterwards that it was not a legal binding contract due to my age and that neither one of my parents co-signed on it?
  • We own a mobile home in a park. We have a lady that wants to buy our mobile. She paid a fee to start the application process to be approved for lease in the park. She passed the criminal/credit portion but they needed a note from her doctor regarding a waiver for her service dogs being over 25 lbs. Her doctor signed the form and she took it into the office. Then they told her they were wrong and it had to be mailed to the doctor's office by the park. We are over two weeks waiting on an approval and they told us they don't know when they will have an answer. Is there a time limit on approval.
  • My brother owes back child support and has a current warrant because of it. If he pays his child support in full will they still make him serve time or can the warrant be lifted at the time he pays the child support?

  • My husband and I were married in 2008 on our marriage license I have his last name but I never officially started using it. I now want to have his last name. How do I go about that process. I was wondering if I have to petition the courts for a change of name since it has been so long or just take my marriage license into the social security office and have it done?
  • I rented a home for 15 years. It was bought by a new owner 7 years into renting. A mirrored door in bathroom was broken before new owner bought house. I moved out this month and the owner is telling me I need to pay him for the mirror $650 that was broken years before he bought house. Do I owe him this money? How would I get a copy of the home inspection walk through when he bought the house?
