QUESTIONS

  • We began renting a place in Feb. It was advertised as having both a swamp cooler and A/C, which is one of the reasons we chose this particular place. When they came to set-up the swamp cooler it was discovered it needs to be replaced. But now they are telling us that they will not replace it because we have A/C. Are they required to fix it?
  • The windows in the bedrooms of our one story do not open, isn't that illegal because it's considered a fire hazard?

Now they are trying to say we tampered with the hose and are responsible for half of the bill, inspection and replacement of the carpet. Can they do this?

I began asking the owner in late June/July to have someone check this out as it was not accurate (he insisted the electric be in his name--leaving me unable to speak to/arrange anything without going through him), but he dragged his feet for months until now here we are.

He hasnt complied at all with the court order of support in AK. Can I move my child support case from AK to AZ? Will I still be able to get cash assistance, WIC and other public help in AZ with a open court order child support on my ex?
