QUESTIONS

  • I rent from a rental property management company, and today there was a "NOTICE OF TRUSTEE SALE" post on my door. The letter states that the house will be auctioned off in 2 months(11/13/2015), I'm unsure if I should stay or go before the auction, and if I go would I be at risk if I used the rent to move?
  • If someone puts an order of protection or a restraining order against me, it is good for 1 year from service. But how long after does it stay on my personal file.
  • I co-signed for my son on his lease in May of 2016. The lease expired without a new lease being written, do he is now month-to-month. Is it possible to remove myself from liability (terminate my part of the agreement) without taking my son off the rental agreement. He had lived there almost 2 years and has established his own credibility. Am I obligated to stay on the rental agreement as long as he stays at the rental?
  • We moved into a house and the hot water heater doesn't work. We submitted a maintenance request on 4/22. 7 days later I sent an email for status. 05/01 a tech came out to do repairs. 05/02 the pilot light still won't stay lit. I submitted a second maintenance request.on 05/02. It is now 05/06 14 days in out new rental home and there is still no hot water. I emailed for status on 05/05.. Still waiting to hear back from Re/Max. What are my rights? Can I replace the water heater and deduct it off my rent payment?
  • I OWN A R.V.PARK RENTER LEFT OWING ME RENT. WHAT IS THE STATUE OF LIMIATION(HOW LONG I HAVE) TO FILE COURT PAPERS?
  • I have inherited $50000 from a neighbor I cared for. Do I have to pay any taxes on this income? Would I be able to ask estate to pay down my mortgage directly or do I have to receive money and do it myself.
  • There is a gas leak between my meter & my mobile home. The park said it is my responsibility to fix it. I only rent the space. Shouldn't the utilities outside my home be the responsibility of the park?
  • My boyfriend got arrested a few days ago in Phoenix for a supposed probation violation when he wasn't even on probation in the first place. The city of Scottsdale put a hold on him for an unpaid warrant from years ago for underage drinking and driving under the influence. The Phoenix jail said if I paid a bond of $50 dollars the charge of probation violation would be taken care of and then the city of Scottsdale would have 72 hours to pick him up or he'd be released. When I sent his mother to pay the $50 dollar bond they told her there was no $50 dollar bond and that the bond was $2,550 but that is what he owes the city of Scottsdale and they still haven't picked him up. Now they are telling him he is going to court AGAIN for the Phoenix charge and then after that they'll transfer him to Scottsdale to wait to go to court for those charges. I don't have a job or $2,550 dollars or anything worth nearly that much. I'm afraid he's going to end up being in jail PAST MY SCHEDULED C-SECTION. I'm due in 37 days. Any advice? Please help,.
  • I currently pay child support for three children. My oldest child turns 18 in November of 2020. My middle child turns 18 in December 2021 and my youngest child turns 18 in December 2022. THE 2018 ARIZONA CHILD SUPPORT GUIDELINES (adopted by the AZ Supreme Court) states that the 'presumptive termination date shall be the last day of the month of the 18th birthday of the youngest child.' Does that mean that I must continue to pay child support for ALL THREE CHILDREN until my youngest child turns 18 years old? Please advise. Thank you
  • After being kicked out, how much time do I have to go back and get my belongings before the landlord can take legal possession of them?
