  • A rental insurance company has refused to pay because the landlord did an upgrade rather than a repair of the domicile. A landlord is charging a tenant to pay for an upgrade rather than a repair of property damage. What is the best option to fight this - with the insurance company or the landlord?

  • I am actually writing this on behalf of my dad. My dad was an eletrician and a veteran. 10 to 14 yrs ago he wired a house, the house was inspected and he received a green tag on it. Just a few months ago the house caught on fire and the insurance is blaming my dad. The fire was do to a gas leak on an outside fireplace of some sort.   • My landlord has a primary person that lives in the community that acts as the landlord and basically handles everything including maintenance. Meaning, he is the one making all repairs. He is creepy, hangs out and thinkers with repairs, he is not certified and shabby workmanship and shows up knocking at my door to hand out information rather than mailing.
