QUESTIONS

  • My ex wants more child support. We agreed upon a number and I have been sending that amount into the clearing house. Then she wanted it back dated 6 months and her attorney said I had to pay it. None of this has been court ordered and they have not mailed anything to me. I have not been making as much money as I had been, real estate, how can I get this reduced to what it was before. And, do I have to pay the new amount if there is NO order?
  • Divorce decree states my ex is to pay half of a credit card bill either in monthly payments or half of the balance. He is not paying me or the credit card company. The only payments he made were during the time we still lived together. I deducted his half of the payment from my half of the monthly bills. How can I get the court to enforce what is on the decree? Also, I no longer reside in the state of Arizona and do not have money for an attorney. Thank you.
  • Going to Navy son does not live with me. Navy says I need a temporary custody order saying mother has sole custody till i get out of boot camp. How do i go about this filing it myself?
  • My senior friend cannot pay her credit card debts (her son ran them up and then abandoned her). Her only income is Social Security and her home was inheirited (already paid off when it was inheirited). She cannot afford to file bankruptcy. She quit paying her debts over a year ago- sent them a letter stating that she cannot pay, fixed income etc. One of of the creditors recently sent a letter regarding arbitration. If she does not respond it means she agrees to their terms. I suggested to her that she respond by sending the original letter. Is there a better way to respond? Also, is her home safe from a judgement? I know her income is. I thought I read her home could not be taken. If true, would it require a lengthy court battle?
  • I have filed to estsblish paternity. Both of us have taken the parenting classes. The other parent won't allow visitation. What is my next step. I was told the court would order mediation. Bit do I need to file the motion? There is an open case.

  • My 19 yr old son sought rental assistance by allowing roommates into the apartment and are now trashing the apartment. I had to leave to Chicago due to family medical reasons and taking care of my elderly parents. The roommates have not paid rent for the past two months and are running up a bill that I can no longer afford. My son is in a job training program hoping to finish with experience to support himself. I am concerned that the roommates are trashing the apartment and take my belongings. how do I evict them? they are not on the lease, refuse to be on the lease and are 19& 22 yrsol
  • I have been employed at the same job for 9 years. Can my employer ask my age? Ask if I'm going to retire? Ask if I filed for Social Security? Ask how much I will be receiving every month then cut my hours from 40 per week to 24 per week? Tell me my job is guaranteed to the end of the year and then it depends if he will keep me. I have over 24 years experience and he was going to lay me off and keep the person in their 30's who has 5 years experience because they made $6,000 less than me. Can he do this since I'm a senior citizen?
