QUESTIONS

  • I just signed another year lease. My company is moving the office to another state, so I'm losing my job. I was told I could get out of my lease. Can I get a letter from my company stating they are moving the office out of state (more that 50 miles) and present it to the landlord, and they will have to let me out of my lease, she said this is Az. law. Is this True?
  • My daughter is 15 years old. She doesn’t want to visit her dad anymore because he never took care of her and was abusive. What can I do?
  • Can a pendente lite for child support be obtained if parents were never married and are awaiting a child custody trial?
  • What is the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)?
  • My husband left and took all furniture and appliances/electronics. Long story short, the only things he left me are all the household/child expenses. He left over a month ago and has not helped or contacted me. We own a home and there is a joint tenancy deed between my mom, me, and my husband. What is the difference between a joint tenancy deed and community property?
  • I paid a full deposit on a particular apartment to rent.I was told it would be ready within a specific time frame. now the manager said the apartment is not ready to rent and I have no where to go. Are they liable?
  • Where or who do I call to change my 5 year old daughters last name? I want to put her dad's last name before she starts school.
  • My ex and I divorced with one child. He owns his own business and put down his estimated income on the child support form. It was signed and finalized as a part of the divorce and he paid child support and 70% of medical bills. We are updating our incomes and he is stating he made less than expected and that, because he was incorrect with his income, I owe him thousands of dollars for the over-payment. Is this accurate? It was he who stated and signed that income amount and because he was wrong, he is stating I owe him for my daughter's medical expenses and child support he paid.
  • My granddaughter currently lives with her maternal grandfather (he has guardianship of her) The biological parents are NOT involved. Both have had drug addiction problems. When my son, granddaughters father, moved back home the guardian would not allow me to see my granddaughter. I was taking her every weekend for several months until I got a job over nights and every other weekend. Then I took her on my weekends off for over a yr. Shes always been part of my life. I believeI I contribute to her happiness and well-being. How do I get visitation rights?
  • My baby's father has been in contempt of court "at least" 2 times. This last time the judge told him, "If you haven't made some kind of payment before the review hearing in 2 months...you will go to jail." Well he had not made any payments and the judge didn't do anything about it except give us another review hearing in 2 months. I don't understand why he is getting away with contempt of court and more than once. What can I do?
