QUESTIONS

  • My question is: Sept 2003 I got married in San Jose, CA. I moved to Phoenix, AZ the same year in July, We had a daughter May 2004, So what Law would my divorce be under? My husband had a house several year before we got married, and till this day Im not on the title of the house or the Cars we purchased during our marriage, Am I intitled to half of anything if I divorce?? I never changed my last name to my married name can that be an issue??
  • I signed a lease to a new place which I just got the keys to, I walk in expecting it had been properly cleaned, painted, and repaired as I had viewed it before completion. Now I get told that it was stated as "move in quality and we are not entirely repainting" The walls are dirty, scratched and marred, food reminance, and spakle marks everywhere to be seen. Other repairs werent done correctly either, what can I do here if they refuse to do nothing? At this point I want out of the agreement I havent moved in but I have paid deposit rent and signed the lease. Can I legally get out of this?

It is now the 6th and I have NOT been given a 5 day pay or quit even tho the landlord told me her boss wants us evicted. I'm mostly worried they will lock us out, but that seems illegal.   • I gave my 30 day notice on April 1st stating that I would not be renewing my lease at the end of May. I also informed the office that I'm moving out on May 8th but I'm paying rent for the whole month of May. I requested a move out inspection Friday May 8th after I take all my belongings out. I was told by the Secretary that the manager does move out inspections when he feels like it. I am unable to return for a move out inspection because I am starting a job in another town. My question is from what date do I begin counting the 14 days for my security deposit to be returned?
