I live in apartments and the management is trying to back charge us an increased city tax rate of 2.9% for the past month and going forward. I know the rate is subject to change, but don't they have to give us a 30 day written notice of the change and rent increase? The residential rate here in Glendale is 2.2%, are they legally even able to enforce the higher rate without a tax increase? What kind of actions can I and other residents take?

Does Arizona recognize marriages performed in other countries? ie: my husband and I were married in the Philippines 7 years ago. Last year he married a woman in Tucson, without divorsing me. Indeed, he never did tell me about his other marriage until I saw it in the public records last week!

I am currently caring for a 14 month old who isn't blood related at all. He has lived with me for over 9 months now and his mom left him at a friend's cuz she had been involed in an incident where cops were coming for her and she ran. She currently hS a warrent and is still on the run but has only asked about her son a handful of times and has not seen him since she left him that day in his stroller behind the house alone. I was arrested for a gun charge when I was 19. The case against me was dismissed with prejudice. The arrest is showing up when a background check is completed for work. How can I get the arrest expunged? This record is preventing employment.
