QUESTIONS

  • My Ex is a homeopathic practitioner and refuses to allow our daughter to see a psychologist for a phobia and psoriasis. She has more money than I do and threatens to sue me if I take her to doctors. What can I do?
  • My 70 year old mother currently lives in Show Low Arizona and is going to be leaving her husband. Can she file the paperwork via the Internet or can she file it in a court in Phoenix? Also, she is on Social Security and gets a small SSI check. Her husband gets a small SSI check. She makes less than $700 a month - do you know if she will have to pay alimony? She thinks when she moves that she may loose her SSI money and that her husbands amount will increase. Can you please comment on this?
  • I purchased a farm using two different private loans(no banks). One loan was on a promissory note. Animals were used as the collateral on the note. Having defaulted on the note, I have turned over all the animals to the party owed. Is there an Arizona law or case that establishes the turnover of collateral as discharge of the note? Can you recommend a method for me to find this specific information. Thanks
  • Does the 5 day notice need to be 5 days of 5 business days?
  • My landlord is withholding all of my security deposit for strange charges I did not know were acceptable. She is charging us for external AC cleaning($350),grass replacement($320),interior paint($880), we filled any holes we made with pictures, we always changed our filter on time, and we had a hired landscaper, how are these items the tenants responsibility and is she allowed to charge us for items that we did not damage, but should be considered wear and tear?
  • Per my lease agreement I sent notice to my landlord that I wanted to renew the lease a month prior to lease ending via email 6/28/19, the same day he sent me notice of rent increase which was received on 6/29/19. He recently replied that we are on a month to month, our lease does not end until July 31st at 5pm. He took over two weeks to respond to email, I am unable to give him 30days notice as he took too long to respond, I recently emailed back accepting he rental amount if a lease is written. What right do I have? Last year when he raised the rent he back dated the 30 day notice.

  • I've owned my trailer since January 2013. I've had my male dog for over 2 years now and have had no problems until about 3 months ago when our most recent manager told me I have to put up a fence cause my dog is "agressive" when she gets to walk through not around my yard to check my meter. My dog isn't always out on the leash just when he has to go to the bathroom or I'm gonna be gone for a bit. By law can she make me put up a fence after 2 years of not having any problems.
  • 86 y/o widow had a will and trust set up as a single woman 3 years ago. Last year the man she lives with had a will drawn up stating that he is married to the widow. Her will & trust have not been updated and no one in the family has seen any legal document that shows they are married. She has stock, a house & and money...he has very little. She is being treated for dementia but family does not know if she is truly competent to have married this man. If she dies will her will & trust be valid as is or not? Can he contest her will and claim community property?
