I am a single mom of 4 children (20, 19, 13, & 10). I divorced the children's father almost 8 yrs ago. I have full sole custody, and he was granted supervised visitation 2 hrs a week. Soon after the divorce, he stopped seeing or contacting the children. He currently has 5 felony warrants in the state of AZ for drugs and such and owes large fines. He fled the state about 6 yrs ago. And has not been seen or heard from since then. I want to know what I can do in lieu of custody of my children in the event of my death. Obviously the older children are safe; however, my 2 younger children I am concerned about. They do not know him or even know what he looks like. A long time fear of mine is that he could come and take them from family and friends here. Am I able to leave them to a more capable and safe guardian? And if so, what can I do without racking up large attorney fees? Thanks so much.

I was wondering what can I do if the mother is not paying child support? The children are 16 & 17 both are still in school. The original order was: Children stay with mother and father had to pay child support. Now the children are staying with us full time in another State and mother is not paying child support or sending any funds. Father is scared to ask for support. I help what the children needs but I feel its not fair that she's not paying her end. What can I do to have her start paying for child support? I want to do this anonymously? Do I have rights as a step parent to turn her in?

My slum lord actually got a judgment against my husband for non payment of rent. The judge would not allow me to show any evidence at ALL in his courtroom I had pics, and receipts of my husband fixing the leaking roof after the SLUM LORD, told us he couldn't afford to fix, and said he would cancel this months rent. He took us to court for non payment and now we're evicted, no place to go and 3 children in school, and unable to get another home in time to move. What can be done, about more time, without having to pay the rent up until 30 days? What can buy a person some time?

Can the landlord raise late fee without informing tenant?

Are corectional officers required to keep records of all conflicts and injuries within the facility? What happens if they loose a piece of evidance? What if this seems to be done on purpose?
