I understand that if my husband CLAIMS he does not know my current address that all he has to do is post something that he has filed for divorce in the newspapers legal section,how can I find out if he has filed or not? I do not trust him.

My ex put him his last name knowing that they werent his, after 3 yrs we broke up and i put him on child support, he denied to help me and requested a dna test, of course it showed up they were not his, now, i dont know anything about him and i want to change my kids last name to mine, how can i do that or what papers do i need, we already went to court and show the dna results to the judge, now, to have a birth certificate again with my last name what do i need to do

I recently went to court and got my case kicked out for the reason i sent the 5 day notice via certified mail and didn't wait 10 days to file a forcible detainer?... i waited 7 days?. the judge said it is 5 days for serving it by hand but 10 if it is done certified mail? is this right? thanks

If I marry, and I am on SSI & SS income, do I loose either one of them or do I retain the same amount that I have always recieved??

My mother had quad bypass surgery 10/07. Upon coming home from the hospital we needed a caregiver to help my mom take her meds go to the bathroom , feed herself , bathe herself etc. After 90 days my mothers LTC kicked in. We filed a claim with Humana , which is the provider that administers her medicare , on 04/20/07. We called a couple of weeks later and were told it takes 30 days to process. We then called the end of May and were told they have it but to wait another 30 days. We called at the end of June and were now told it was in the wrong dept but it would now be expedited. I called mid July spoke to a "manager " Joe Clark who said it was still in the worng dept but he wopuld expedite it and call me back in 1-2 days. NO CALL 10 days later I call and speak to Stephanie, and she tells me her sup. will call me back NO CALL. i call 5 days later speak to Woodley , he tells me he has no idea about the delay but will rush it. I call at the end of July speak to yet another manager who tells me they "changed" vendors and need me to refax the entire claim. She asks me what the claim is about I tell her and she tells me that what I described to her is really more "housekeeping" work and not covered. KEEP IN MIND she hasn't even reviewed the claim. I am now approaching 4 months since we first submitted this and I am at wits end. What are my options to get this expedited one way or another

My lease is for a year, however my landlord notified me that she was selling her house and wants to buy me out of my lease which I still have 3 months left on it. I live in AZ w/ parents in Florida. Mom recently hospitalized, (treatment for previously diagnosed cancer, terminal) & signed papers for 'Hospice' while heavily medicated w/ morphine. Now bills are thru the roof as Medicare is not covering previously covered expenses. Mom is not "in" hospice care, just using 'pain management for medication'. She is still at home. Where can we get counsel as she signed papers without knowing change in coverage?
