I had made an appointment for a visual mold inspection to be performed at the condo I rent, due to my landlords not taking action and telling me it was my responsibility to pay for a test. I informed both the Inspector and landlord that I was running 10 minutes late. The landlords did not wait for me to be present and let the inspector in my home without my permission, had the test performed and was done before I arrived. If I made the appointment and did not give permission for them to enter or was informed they entered, is there something I can do about this?

I informed my landlord that there were several things that needed to be fixed (the dishwasher and the toilet) She never responded to my requests. I waited several days. I then informed her that I would have these items fixed and that I would provide her with receipts of the work done and deduct it from my rent. Again, she did not respond. Now she is seeking late fees for the amount that I deducted from my rent. In addition, the roof has leaked for the last year and after numerous requests has not been fixed to my knowledge. Can she do this and can I break m y Lease?

My fiancé and I are in a month to month lease. On 8-26-16 a guest of ours that was visiting the state was accused of crime on property. The next day the landlord stated we had to leave that day or we could pay for next month's rent and be evicted afterwards. They stated a eviction would show on credit affectively making it nearly impossible to rent anywhere else. On the rental agreement there was no notice stating we needed to advise them if we had a guest staying longer than 14 days and he has not been formally charged. What options do I have.
