  • i am 15, almost 16, and I get in constant fights with my parents, some leading to abuse, and would like to live with a friend of mine that lives in California. could there be a penalty for doing so? do i have to get emancipated to do this? what do i have to do in general to do this. my family knows this family very well and they would take great care of me. they would also have no issue in taking me in and they would treat me as their own.
  • 4 years ago I had a child and the father has never been involved or even tried to contact us. I have been with the same man since my child was born and he wants to adopt! Do I have to contact the birth father to have him relinquish his rights?
  • My apartment lease will be expiring in a few months and the new lease that has been proposed includes a new payment for a percentage of the common area utilities. The calculation is based on the total utility bill for the common areas then breaks down by square footage and number of occupants of each apartment. The monthly charges will fluctuate from month to moth as the common area charges change. My questions are is this legal? Aren't we already paying for the common area utilities by paying rent? Would this not be consider a double dip? Please advise. Thank you, Kathleen Ingram
  • My husband is incarcerated and we have two children. I am in the process of submitting my petition for a dissolution of marriage and noticed we are required to complete a parenting class. Is there a waiver for a parent that is incarcerated or any other way this class can be completed by him?

  • do we need to file a copy of our wills to probate? We only have a mobile home, car and personal belongings. Do we have to go thru an attorney to make up a will? Can we do it ourselves? thank you
  • What can I do if my husband is not filing his set of divorce papers, mine have been filed already and I waited the required amount of time, but he will not file his papers saying he is too busy. We have no children together and we agreed on everything. I believe I need to file a default form, but does that mean we have to have a hearing? Is there anyway to file the default form and have no hearing? Especially being we have no property/assets to divide.
