unfortunately I have a slum lord!he does not provide any source of heat,and its cold as hell,we bought two small space heaters and can only use 1 at a time cuz it trips the main breaker,and often cant even use 1 it still trips ,we have to wait 15 min to flip back on because its so hot,also the bar looks like its melting some its blackened and some of the plastic is melted,I fear we are near to have a fire,can we hold off rent to make him fix this or not?this guy charges 50 in late fee on 5th an add 90on 9th and ten a day there after once we paid on 13 and late fee was 285,rent is 680,wtf

My adult probation officer informed me that she was "required by law" to receive a notarized letter from my employer - I asked if there was a standard format letter I could review and she said no. I have no issue verifying employment through typical means but I feel a letter that is arbitrary is a bit unfair. I just want someone to show me the "required by law" part???

I just had my daughter four months ago me and her father are no longer together never where married but he keeps making comments about taking her or being able take her anywhere he please ex; to California to visit he’s family . I recently went to court and got my case kicked out for the reason i sent the 5 day notice via certified mail and didn't wait 10 days to file a forcible detainer?... i waited 7 days?. the judge said it is 5 days for serving it by hand but 10 if it is done certified mail? is this right? thanks
