QUESTIONS

  • Have guardianship over nieces just wondering if it's ok to move out of state with them
  • I allowed an ex to move back in while she "got on her feet." She has never paid rent or utilities and we have no written agreement altho it was understood at the time to be a short-term favor. It is now over 2 years and she says she doesn't want to move out until she can afford her own place. When we met 3 years ago she was renting a room in a house which is what I am suggesting she do again now - what are my legal options in terms of requiring her to move out?
  • I want to get my stuff from my ex boyfriends house but he won't let me can the police help me?
  • If a relative has lived in your home for than a year and domedtic violence was involved, do i have to give her notice before I get rid of her belongings
  • joint legal custody, i am the custodial parent, but father has final say. Is the father allowed to deny the child to go to be better school to receive a better education? He has no reason to not allow her to go to the new school other than he doesn't think its necessary. She almost failed 5th grade at her current public school. If I take him to court what are the chances of the judge allowing her to go to the better school? Isn't it supposed to be about what is in the child's best interest, not just about who has final say?

  • We found mold and water damage in our unit. The landlord put me in a hotel for 8 days and then said i will have to find somewhere else to stay because the issue would take 2 months and the unit would be uninhabitable. She then wants me to just go find somewhere to live for the time it is getting fixed. Isnt she supposed to provide me somewhere to stay while this gets fixed? She wants to return my rent for a prorated amount for the 8 days i was in a hotel. Shouldn't she give me the full rent back if the hotel didn't have a kitchen and was noy equivilent to what i was renting?
  • Last night the maintenance manger at my complex threatened to call the police if I didn't leave. I haven't been officially evicted yet, but he assumed I was since my family removed my belongings. Did he violate my rights under the "self help" measure?
  • In 2003, my husband's girlfriend moved to AZ from IN. They had a daughter together born Feb. 2003. My husband has been court ordered to pay AZ courts because the mother of the child is currently receiving assistance from TANF. My husband has been told that he must get a attorney to establish visitation rights. My question is does the attorney have to practice law in AZ? We also cannot afford an attorney. What can we do?
