Divorce & Annulment
questions & answers
Question: my spouse is filing for divorce and we have decided on the things that we agree on. however, I can't afford an attorney. Is it possible to get an attorney to review the agreement for me and how much would that cost?
Answer: You may qualify for the Modest Means Project. The Modest Means attorneys would give you a one hour consultation for $75. To see if you qualify, you can call 866-637-5341 or fill out the information online at www.azlawhelp.org. If you are in Maricopa or Pima Counties, the County Bar Association has a lawyer referral service for $40 half hour consultation. You may also want to try your local Community Legal Service office to see if they have a Volunteer Lawyer program where someone may be able to review your paperwork.
