Question: I have a class 6 felony going back to 1993 i would like to get my gun rights back

Answer: The Maricopa County Superior Court self-service center provides an application where individuals can apply to have their gun rights stored. The form can be found at: http://www.superiorcourt.maricopa.gov/SuperiorCourt/Self-ServiceCenter/Forms/CriminalCases/index.asp Once you are there please click on restoration of civil rights under criminal cases. This will provide the forms and instruction necessary to submit an application to: Clerk of the Superior Court, Criminal file Counter, 175 West Madison Street, Phoenix, AZ 85003, ATTN: Restoration of Civil Rights Clerk. Per the instructions there will not be a hearing on the matter. The application is forwarded to the appropriate prosecutor. It is then ruled on in a closed session. You will receive notification via mail at the address provided on the application. Be sure to have all relevant information available when completing your application. This includes your previous case number, completion of probation (if applicable), and a copy of the statement of Absolute Discharge to the application (if you were sent to prison). A person may want to make copies of the documents submitted for their personal record.
