Question: HOW DO I GO ABOUT RESOLVING ACTIVE WARRANTS BUT NOT SURE WHAT THEY ARE ISSUED FOR? I LIVE IN PIMA COUNTY BUT THE WARRANTS ARE ISSUED OUT OF MOHAVE COUNTY.
Answer: If you know which court they were issued out of, you may contact each court to determined why they were issued. That would be important in case it is for something that you can resolve before going to court (i.e. unpaid fines, counseling, community service, etc.). In order to "quash" a warrant, you will likely need to appear in that court to ask that the warrant be quashed. Warrants are typically issued for failures to appear for scheduled court dates, or non-compliance with a sentencing. This relates primarily to criminal matters, however, a warrant can be issued in other cases such as failure to pay child support, or contempt of court.
