questions & answers
Question: Is a copy of my trust legal. I lost the original.
Answer: Generally, a copy of a trust should work fine unless some one contests its validity after a death or incapacity. If a person contests the trust, typically, the original is the best evidence that it was not changed. A person can do an affidavit and simply state that the trust, dated ----- remains in full force and effect and has not been amended or revoked and that an original cannot be located.
