Question: As owner of mobile park, my property manager failed to bill residents their monthly rents last July 2016. Can I still bill that far back?
Answer: Assuming that you and your tenants had valid written rental agreements which were in effect during that month – and through which your tenants agreed and were obligated to pay rent (whether or not they were formally billed) – then no specific statute of limitations should bar you from collecting it now. This is only a very general rule, however, which may or may not apply to your specific situation. An attorney can offer advice as to how you may or should proceed.
