Question: Can my landlord change my contract and sign my name on it?

As a general rule, the law does not permit a person to alter a written document and/or sign your name to a document; this is called forgery. According to the Arizona Revised Statute 13-2002 a person commits forgery if, with intent to defraud, the person: 1. Falsely makes, completes or alters a written instrument.
