Question: I have a ten year maintenance agreement with XXXXX, Inc dated 4/22/2016, for a twice a year maintenance service on my air conditioner / furnace which they installed for my home. I paid $1600.00 for this service. (This comes to $80.00 per service) and I received five services. When the sixth service was due (April 2019) I called for an appointment and their phone is shut off. I called their offices in Tucson, Pheonix and Glendale, all their phones have been shut off and the Tucson office is locked. I can't find anyone and they still owe me $1200.00 and I don't know what to do.

Answer: You are not the only person facing this issue with this company.  There are numerous reports on the internet of the company closing abruptly and leaving customers with maintenance contracts high and dry.  Recently, the Arizona Attorney General's office fined the company $340,000 for illegal telemarketing.  Shortly thereafter, XXXXX abruptly closed its Phoenix and Tucson offices.  You may want to contact the Arizona Attorney General's fraud division.  In Phoenix, the telephone number is (602) 542-5763.  In Tucson, the number to call is (520) 628-6648. The AG already has this company in its sights, so the AG may be able to offer some help.
